This message is an invitation to any members who wish to be in the Parade at Castana's 125th celebration on
August 5, 6, & 7. The Parade begins at 1:00 P.M. from the former school grounds on AUGUST 7th. I spoke
with Sheriff Pratt for permission to let the members of Timber Ridge ride their 4-wheelers, dirt bikes, dune
buggies, Jeeps or whatever to the parade. He said it would be O.K. if you came to town as a group and stayed
in your lane of traffic to town and back to Timber Ridge. Richard Bumann will be buying everyone HOME MADE
ICE CREAM after the Parade.
Church services will be at 10:30-11:30 for those who wish to attend.
There will be fliers at the Ridge with a schedule of events for the weekend.

I am also President of the Mapleton Rotary Club and we are raising money to replace the Gazeebo & repair
the restroom at the roadside park in Mapleton damaged by the tornado. The ROTARY CLUB has 2 footballs
signed by Athletic Director TOM OSBORN, Bo Pelini & the rest of the Nebraska football coaching staff. We are
doing a silent auction lasting about 6 weeks. You will be able to put your bids in a box At Timber Ridge, Maier
Pharmacy in Mapleton, Stangel Pharmacy in Onawa or by emailing (HNHanson@wiatel.net). Each location will
have the highest bid posted by Friday noon. On Friday, September 9th at 6 p.m. there will be a live auction in
front of Maier Pharmacy in Mapleton for those who wish to bid higher. The starting bid is $350.00. The high bid
from each week will be posted on the Timber Ridge web page every Sunday.
The second football will be auctioned at the home football game in Mapleton on September 23rd.
